  • Faith and Parker have a sleepover and Sam's Club

Submitted by William on Fri, 07/17/2009 - 4:10pm

The king and queen of Genovia, just married

We had lots of samples at Sam's Club. The End. That's a true story.

Faith and Parker had a sleepover at our house. And Faithy got to sleep on my top bunk and we talked a really lot. And I got to sleep on Faithy's bunk on top and talk until Auntie Leah came up to tell us to stop talking. Parker slept in Eliana's crib. And Eliana slept in Mom's room in her pack and play. And Mom slept in her room. Leah slept in Eliana's room where Parker slept. In the morning, there was King and Queen of Genovia. And me, William, was the king, the queen's husband. And Faithy was the queen, my wife. The End. The true stories are true.

    Hi William!

That was a great story on your blog, both Michelle and I loved it! Hope you had a good dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's last night, sorry we couldn't be there.

  • Fireworks!

Submitted by William on Sun, 07/05/2009 - 9:11pm

    (Say it like a song.)
We watched fireworks in the city at Denise's house
    And we watched fireworks there.
We too watched fireworks at Grandpa Ron and Grandma Barb's house
    Down on the river.
Yeah, we really, really watched fireworks there.
    Cool fireworks there.

William has two pairs of eyes

We watched fireworks at Marty and Dave's house at Beaver Lake at one of their neighbor's house. And we went on the paddle boat and swam in the middle of the lake. And me and Dad played in a squirt gun battle.

  • The Parade _______That's a true title.

Submitted by William on Sat, 06/27/2009 - 10:08pm

Me wearing my band hat with cool feathers on it.

The parade had loud firetrucks and noisy cymbals and a band in the parade. The band was with a guitar, a 'lectric one, and it wasn't noisy enough for me. And it also had drums. The drums weren't noisy enough for me. The giant one had a picture of a flamingo on it. The band had dancers and a horn. And the parade had a car with my bam bam ball coaches in it. They were wearing crowns and princess dresses. I got hundreds and bundreds of candy. The end. That's a true story.

  • Our trip and today

Submitted by William on Tue, 06/16/2009 - 5:19pm

    The boys in the Jumpolene

[On our trip] We went to Lowe's and had a race with Abi and Faith and Parker. And I liked the mountains because they had snow on them and I like snow. That's true. And I liked the hotel a lot. It has a couch that transforms into a bed. At Auntie Dawn's house, I liked the Jumpolene and I liked the obstacle race. The obstacle race was downstairs where you had to jump over the spikey obstacles and jump on the trampolene into the Jumpolene and jump over those bowling stuff and go in a loopty-loop in Mom's and Dad's beds and run over my bed and jump over the bowling pin things again and jump into the Jumpolene again and jump onto the trampolene again and then jump over the spikey obstacles again and then run back to the starting line by the wall. And then there was more and more spikey obstacles on each level.

Today we made paper cranes. That's true.

  • Easter and the Twins Game

Submitted by William on Tue, 04/14/2009 - 10:31pm

Uh... Hmmm... I'm going to say about Easter... hmm... uh... I slept 'til the Easter bunny came. And the Easter bunny hid my Easter basket behind the curtains and guess what was with my Easter basket behind the curtains. Trick tracks! And I got candy. Hmmm... We went to Auntie Lynne's house to go on an Easter egg hunt. The Easter bunny came to Grandpa Ron and Grandma Barb's house and hid Easter eggs (fake ones) all over the yard and even in the backyard and even in the front yard. I found only three Easter eggs that had candy in them and I even found my Easter basket. Eliana's Easter basket was under the top of the grill [the grill cover] and I found my Easter basket under the high level of the dock in some leafs and other stuff. We went to another Easter egg hunt at Grandma Lanz's and Grandpa Lanz's house. And we had 3 Easter eggs hunts (Now they will think, "Huh? Who typed this funny 'eggs???'")

Darren got the tickets from the office - row 8!

We went to the Twins game last night. And we ate a big pretzel and we only had bites. And I got some ice cream like a shake. But it was not a shake. It was ice cream. And I used it to scoop it with a little spoon that Mom always liked [those little wooden sticks they call spoons]. The Twins played good but they lost... probably. [We left before the end of the game.] T.C. was very cool. He only was a costume. He rode around the baseball field inside a round building [the Metrodome] a four-wheeler.

Today after my long rest I got up and went outside with my Easter basket and with some eggs inside (they were just fake eggs) and I opened them and all of them that I opened were empty. And I put some candy inside. And I went outside to hide them so Mom and Eliana could find them.

And right now I think we heard the clothes washer buzzing. And I think it was done washing. And right now I got a basket with the foam things that were in the drier with the clothes all the time [drier sheets] and I got a basket with those drier sheets in the laundry bin. The end.

In case there is any doubt, William makes sure I type everything exactly the way he wants it, complete with the "umms" and "hmms." I put in a few editors notes when I think someone might not know what he's referring to. As you can see, he is perfectly aware of them as he incorporated the term "drier sheets" later. William would love to type his own blog entries, but dictation is time consuming enough at this point.

  • Swimming lessons and the book of "You Know"

Submitted by William on Sat, 03/21/2009 - 4:50pm

    Kicking on his "pad boat"

When I was at swimming lessons, I was first swimming with the noodles. And second I was swimming without my noodles and I was laying on my back on one of the pad boats. I was just kicking and I was going all around the pool. True. And last I was swimming without my noodles OR my pad boat, and I sunk a little bit.

After swimming lessons, we went to McDonald's so I could go and get the dog toy in the dark yellow spaceship [Littlest Pet Shop]. And it went with its friends Inny the bird and Brian the squirrel. And it was last to go to Jafrica where he and his friends slept.

    The End.

    That's a true story.

I wrote and illustrated a book that's called "You Know." The words go: "Did you know that giraffes sleep standing up?" And it has a picture of a giraffe sleeping standing up at the end.
